3D printed dress

3D printing continues to advance at a phenomenal rate. While 3D printed fabrics and printed clothing have been seen before, this recent article (originally posted on Wired.com) seems to take the idea a step closer to becoming a usable technology.

Of course you won't find this particular dress on the high street and it being a large 3D printed object its not cheap...around $3000. However what impressed me was the software and kinematics development achieved by Nervous System , who have been able to successfully generate and test a 700+ hinge 3D object. This technical triumph and proof of principle suggests a bright future for flexible 3D printed objects.
